The purpose of this site is to help equip believers from every language and group as they faithfully serve in the harvest fields of the world.
Today, there are faithful believers working in most of the 7,000 languages and even more dialects of the world. Often these believers have very little formal training in ministry and little access to biblical, theological, and other resources to help them in their work. The purpose of Worldview.info is to make as many resources available as possible—particularly open source resources that can be freely adapted, used, translated, and replicated as needed. Furthermore, we strive to create resources that are easy to translate using open-source software, and in digital formats that are easy to distribute. This effort is in the early stages of development, but we believe it will be helpful to the global church to release content as soon as it is created. The harvest fields are already white!
Mobile is changing access to resources…
Mobile phone technology is spreading rapidly throughout the world. It is hard to find a place on the globe where no one has a cell phone. This trend is expected to continue, and even accelerate. This is a wave that organizations who train and equip the global church need to catch!
Unfortunately, Christian mobile software development mainly focusses on delivery of western content, restricted by copyright, and only in a few major languages. Very little has been done to enable the global church to easily and freely both translate and also create the resources they need. This is the space in which Worldview wants to be involved.
